AUTHOR

Sally writes her Alaskan Wilderness Series of novels specifically for young adult readers, ages 9 to 12, but her first book has already captured the attention of readers of all ages!

Each book in her series is overflowing with true Alaskan wilderness adventures of the author’s very own family while living on a remote homestead deep in the wilds of Alaska’s vast interior.

Logan is an eleven year old fiction character reliving the true story of his family’s adventures as they strive to get a cabin built without the comforts of a modern lifestyle.

Living in a plastic shelter with no electricity or phone communication, the family faces unexpected dangers of record-cold winter temperatures miles from any roads or medical help.

Sally J Forss

Logan shares of his family’s challenges while striving to live a self-sufficient  lifestyle alone in the Alaskan wilderness.

Sally began her life growing up on a dairy farmstead with eight siblings and lived in a small farmhouse along a peaceful country road near Pound, Wisconsin.  Four years after graduating from high school, she received her BA in Education, soon married and began her teaching career.

Teachers were needed in a small village school in Fort Yukon, Alaska, and this decision to move was the beginning of Sally and her family’s 35+ years of Alaskan wilderness adventures.

Exciting news!  Book 2 has become a new release! The title is Frostbiting Winter!  You will want to dress up warm to be prepared for some very unbearably cold temperatures!

Book 3 River Breakup is ready for publishing. Logan welcomes a new family member born within the vast Alaskan Wilderness.  Book 4 is now being written as there are so many more adventures still to enjoy.

Sally writes her Alaskan Wilderness Series in hopes that many readers of all ages will enjoy reliving their family’s adventures!

WHAT READERS SAY?

KIND WORDS FROM MY LOVELY CLIENTS

“Knowing the author personally, I may be a bit biased in my review. I found the story delightful, especially since I know that these glimpses into the author's life in Alaska are true. The book reminds me of the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder but from a boy's perspective. I think young boys will find this book entertaining and will hold their interest through to the end--wanting more! I can't wait to read more of Logan's Adventures and look forward to Book 2.”

“Great book for gift for young adults and whole family! It reveals a wholesome eye opening reality of the daily adventures and challenges of self sufficient alternative living. Lots of excitement and gratifying moments! Really love the illustrations also.  We are enjoying our canvas prints of these illustrations that are hanging on our cabin walls. The artwork is unique. That’s why I like it.”

"I so enjoyed your book! I was able to bring Logan's Adventures with me on our trip to Ohio and finished reading it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to sharing it with our grandchildren and other family and friends. I appreciate the ways you pointed to God's faithfulness, Logan's praying often and seeing the answers to prayers, the great work ethic of Logan and others, the wisdom of his being obedient, the loving and helpful neighbors, and so much more!! There are so many lessons to be learned in your book and I'm excited to read the rest of them after they're published."

“The books have arrived! Thank you so very much, and I pray you will have many rewards from writing and having your books published. So excited for you! You do truly have something special to share! And you may never see or know, but perhaps your children will. It will touch lives as children learn to be helpers, and learn about nature, etc. and we will keep praying that people will be drawn to the Lord through it. Children, grandchildren, and on . . . You’re doing a great job! It’s all fascinating. We gave our family your books as Christmas gifts.  They have been reading the book to our grandson. Sweet! Now they are waiting for Book 2!”
